RestockTrue

Reorder the right amount.
Even after you were
sold out.

RestockTrue counts sales only on days an item was actually in stock. Two weeks sold out no longer make a bestseller look like a slow seller.

In testing. Launch on the Shopify App Store is planned.

One product, the last 30 days Example data
In stock: 18 days, 2 sold each day Sold out: 12 days
1.2 per day36 sold ÷ 30 calendar days – a plain average
2 per in-stock day36 sold ÷ 18 days with stock – what RestockTrue uses

2 per in-stock day × (21 days lead time + 45 days target coverage) = 132 units, minus 40 in stock: order 92 – rounded up to packs of 12: 96. Based on calendar days it would have been 48.

What RestockTrue does

Built by a grocery merchant for the weekly reorder – especially for the products that were just sold out.

Overview

What needs attention, in three lists.

  • Reorder soonItems whose stock, including what is already on order, runs out before new goods could arrive.
  • Sold out and in demandSince when, how many sold-out days this month, and roughly how many sales you missed.
  • Slow sellersItems with stock for far longer than your lead time and target coverage.
  • Every number shows its basisMeasured since installation or estimated from past orders – and from how many in-stock days.

Suggestions you can check

One sentence with the whole calculation.

  • Sales per in-stock day× (lead time + target coverage), minus stock and incoming goods, rounded to full packs and at least the minimum order quantity.
  • Not available from the supplierPause an item with a reminder date instead of letting it pile up in the lists.
  • Unusual weeksA week with far more sales than usual is flagged – you decide whether it counts.
  • “Why this suggestion?”On request, AI explains the suggestion in plain words, using only the app’s own numbers (Pro).

Suppliers and order lists

From suggestion to order in one step (Pro).

  • Order lists per supplierPrefilled with the suggestions, quantities editable, with lead time, pack sizes and minimum quantities.
  • Print, PDF or email templateIn the supplier’s language. RestockTrue never sends anything to suppliers by itself.
  • Open orders countWhat you have ordered is counted as incoming until you mark it as arrived.

Back in stock

Customers wait instead of leaving.

  • “Notify me when it’s back” blockAdd it in your theme editor to product pages and product cards – no code.
  • Double opt-inCustomers confirm their address. A separate, unticked checkbox asks for newsletter consent, which is stored with the customer in Shopify.
  • Waiting customers raise the suggestionConfirmed sign-ups count as demand, and each customer gets one email when the item is back.

Moving in

Bring your suppliers along.

  • Spreadsheet, CSV or PDF invoiceSuppliers, lead times, pack sizes and minimum quantities. Columns are detected; for PDF invoices, AI reads the lines (Pro).
  • Preview before anything is savedEvery row lands in exactly one group with a reason – and the groups add up to the rows in your file.
  • Run it again safelyA second import of the same file creates nothing twice.

Several locations

Together and per location (Pro+).

  • Counted togetherAn item is in stock if it is available at any of your chosen locations – one suggestion for the joint order.
  • A view per locationStock, sales per in-stock day and a suggestion for each location, and order lists for one location.

Best-before dates

With ExpiryLot, our app for batches and best-before dates (Pro).

  • Stock that will expire unsold doesn’t countSo you order it now instead of noticing next week.
  • Better look-backExpiryLot’s receipts show when goods arrived before RestockTrue was installed.

Useful from day one

RestockTrue reads up to 60 days of past orders when you install it, marked as estimated. From then on it measures your stock every day. Suggestions appear once an item has 28 measured in-stock days – before that it tells you honestly how long it still needs.

36languages

The whole interface follows your Shopify admin language.
